Final Reflection
During IT 365 I have learned how to incorporate technology into my lessons using the web tools that I never knew existed. For example, making a concept map online was a first for me. I always done concepts maps free hand with paper, pencil, markers, and colored pencils. I also learned about picture cropping websites such as pik-nick.com which I absolutely love know and have begun using when I upload pictures to social sites. I learned how to create my own website which will come in handy when I have my own classroom. It was more difficult and challenging than I thought it would be, but I had fun doing it. We used turnitin.com which is a website for plagiarism and I had no idea how much was considered plagiarized and I also learned that we as teachers cannot always rely solemnly on those types of websites to check for plagiarism.
My strong points was making the concept map because I was really interested in learning how to do concept makes online or on computers. I tried really hard and repeated the assignment several times before I actually turned it in. I also done well on several other assignments, but my overall favorite was the web tools assignment. We actually got a chance to become a teacher for a day and create a rubric, worksheet, puzzle, quiz, and a website. I felt that they assignment was the most beneficial to me. My weakest point and the most challenging to me was the assistive technology assignment. I never knew that computers had that much on them to help the students with those disabilities. After I figured out how to use the tools it was ok. I also had a little trouble making my rubric correctly, but I can fix that by adding more details about what I need from the students.
My future learning goal is to do more research on assistive technology for students so I can have better knowledge on how to use the web tools. I have to know and understand how to use them in order to teach them and help them use it. I will always add more details to my rubric rather than less. I will integrate technology into this my subjects every day. We will use worksheets, take quizzes, and even make a concept map. I want my students to be very creative when learning about new animals, reading a Dr. Seuss book, learning about the states, and even learning about the parts of the body.

Reflection on Standard # 5
Engage in Professional Growth and Leadership
Teachers continuously improve their professional practice, model lifelong learning, and exhibit leadership in their school and professional community by promoting and demonstrating the effective use of digital tools and resources. Teachers:
A. participate in local and global learning communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning.
B. exhibit leadership by demonstrating a vision of technology infusion, participating in shared decision making and community building, and developing the leadership and technology skills of others.
C. evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make effective use of existing and emerging digital tools and resources in support of student learning.
D. contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community.
• Teaching is a learning profession. We constantly learn from our co-workers, employers, friends, and most of all our students. We had to create a photo story, which dealt with several technical techniques that we learned in IT 365. We had to use web tools in order to upload the pictures, we had to know how to type text onto the documents, and we had to manipulate the microphone in order to produce words that could be understood. The more we improve our professional development as a teacher; we would advance and teach our students more. Teachers should always evaluate themselves and have others evaluate them on a regular basis. Teachers should always invite parents into their classrooms and engage them into what their child is learning. Teaching is always a learning experience as well as learning from the community which include the parents, staff, and students.

Teachers understand local and global societal issues and responsibilities in an evolving digital culture and exhibit legal and ethical behavior in their professional practices. Teachers:
A. advocate, model, and teach safe, legal, and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for copyright, intellectual property, and the appropriate documentation of sources.
B. address the diverse needs of all learners by using learner-centered strategies providing equitable access to appropriate digital tools and resources.
C. promote and model digital etiquette and responsible social interactions related to the use of technology and information.
D. develop and model cultural understanding and global awareness by engaging with colleagues and students of other cultures using digital-age communication and collaboration tools.
• As an Educator, we have to understand that there are going to be students that have certain disabilities that we have to accommodate in our lessons and activities. In our IT 365 class we learned some of the techniques in order to accommodate children with visual, hearing, or physical disabilities. There will always be at least one child in our class whom has one or more of these disabilities. The student would expect the teacher to include them in all the classroom activities. Teachers are role models, instructors, and most times friends to students. They have to be able to teach intellectually to all races, age groups, and learners. Every child is different so we have to meet all of their learning styles and strategies.
• Teachers have to actually inform the students of copyright laws in order for them to know what plagiarism is or not how to cite someone else’s work. We used the website, Turnitin.com in order to see how easy it is to plagiarize, or use someone else work without citing it. I personally did not know that just a couple of words can easily be picked up as plagiarized, therefore, I students would not know if we do not teach them. Copyright lays and other legal terms are foreign to young children, therefore it is our duty to make sure they are advised and learn the morals of using technology and technical equipment.

A. design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity.
B. develop technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing their own progress.
C. customize and personalize learning activities to address students' diverse learning styles, working strategies, and abilities using digital tools and resources.
D. provide students with multiple and varied formative and summative assessments aligned with content and technology standards and use resulting data to inform learning and teaching.

We had to share background information, rules, weekly schedule, school supplies, and support tools for parents and students. We also designed an online worksheet and quiz for our future students online. Everybody had their own personal or customized style for the website as well as the quiz. Completing these assignments allowed me to show that I understand the use of technology. It also showed that I could be creative, and do research in order to make my worksheet. Students have to work on computers and begin to build their own technology experience. For example, they could create or design a webpage or website. They could use tools such as the webcam for assignments. The students could challenge themselves by making power points for presentations and understanding the use of USB cords and drives.

Introduction of Shonda's Blogfolio
IT 365 is a technology class for teachers. We learned several techniques on how to teach students using technology or even integrate technology into our other subjects. For instance, we made a concept map using the Inspiration program which we can use for a visual aide when we are teaching our students. We also used many web tools, such as making a online rubric, puzzle, website, photo story, and worksheet. Children love to learn when it is fun and having some puzzles to do, making a website, and using a computer to present will make school a whole lot more exciting. I would like for my students to be able to use technology in order to create their own portfolios and be able to enhance their papers, notes, visual aide, projects, and several other things.
We also learned how to help students that have problems learning due to disabilities. I never knew that computers have features in order to help students with hearing, visual, or physical disabilities. Our assistive technology assignment taught me about: Print screen key, high contrast and large formatting, magnifier, toggle keys, flash active, and on screen keyboard. Most of these were for the visual or hearing impaired and the on screen keyboard and toggle keys were for the physically impaired. We also learned about plagiarism and how easy it is to do. We used the plagiarism website, Turnitin.com and turned a total plagiarism copy and a copy that we wrote using the same information.
